It is our pleasure to announce that 4th Minkowski European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) Postgraduate Course in Clinical Diabetes will be organised in Wroclaw (Breslau), Poland, 25-27 March 2010.

The course, organised by the EASD Postgraduate Education Sub-Committee in collaboration with Polish organisers, is a three-day meeting with the most prominent European diabetologists; its scope will cover all important scientific and clinical aspects of modern diabetes care. The course is addressed to physicians from Central and Eastern Europe interested in treating diabetes and its complications according to the Evidence Based Medicine rules.

The programme of the course consists of some almost 20 lectures and 9 workshops, all held in English, all set in the beautiful city of Wroclaw, an old and multi-ethnic cultural centre located right at the heart of a uniting Europe. The number of participants is limited and should not exceed 120 persons. The invited speakers are all well known for their achievements in diabetes research and practice: e.g. Massimo Porta (Italy), Per-Henrik Groop (Finland), Johnny Ludvigsson (Sweden), David Kerr (UK), Cees J. Tack (the Netherlands), Peter Kempler (Hungary).

There is no registration fee and the costs for accommodation and board are covered by the EASD and the local organisers; participants are only asked to pay for their own travel to and from Wroclaw
