Certificates of Continuing Medical Education Credit Points will be provided by EASD on the last day of the meeting at the EASD booth.

TRAVEL GRANTS

APPLICATION FOR TRAVEL GRANTS

The application for a Travel Grant should give the following information:

a)  Full name, date of birth and place of work of the applicant.

b)  EASD Membership number of the applicant.

c)  Date and nature of appointment to current position.

d)  Copy of accepted abstract.

e)  The cost of economy return fare between place of work and Stockholm (in Euro).

f)   Brief recommendation by the Head of Department.

g) Complete contact details, including postal and E-mail address

PASSPORTS AND VISA

A valid passport is generally required for entry into Sweden. Being one of the Schengen countries (together with Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland and The Netherlands) Sweden follows the common visa policy on short-term stays of up to three (3) months within the Schengen area. The citizens of Schengen countries are not subjected to border controls within the common area, though airlines or other carriers do require an identification document (e.g. ID card or passport).

OFFICIAL INVITATIONS

An official invitation from EASD is available on the internet to assist you in obtaining a visa or travel funds. Please apply for a “Letter of Invitation” online. It does not imply any commitment on the part of the organiser to waive the registration fee or provide financial support.

Please note that you need to be registered to the meeting and the registration fee has to be paid before applying for a “Letter of Invitation”.
