
Welcome to the Diabetes and Cardiovascular Disease EASD Study Group (D&CVD) information page.
The D&CVD became an official EASD study group as of September
2007.
Below you will find some information regarding the D&CVD objectives, Executive
Committee, membership and educational initiatives. If you would like more

The Diabetes and Cardiovascular Disease EASD Study Group (D&CVD) is a newly
formed study group that exists to:
Promote advancement of knowledge on all aspects of cardiovascular disease and
diabetes through active co-operation between interested diabetologists and other
specialists, particularly cardiologists
Bring together researchers working in the field of cardiovascular disease in
diabetes to
exchange experiences in research and to promote discussions during
regular meetings
Work actively for the establishment of European and international collaborative
studies
Act as a reference group for the EASD in matters related to cardiovascular
disease and
diabetes
The initial
meeting of the D&CVD was held on January 19-21,
There were 70
attendees, including many members of the EASD

attend the D&CVD annual meeting
New membership in subsequent years will be open to all members of the EASD who
present an abstract during the annual meeting

The D&CVD shall meet on an annual basis for a scientific and business meeting
to:
Provide a forum for collaboration regarding research and advancements
Discuss future goals and upcoming initiatives
Determine new Executive Committee members
