Call for New Committee Members
We are seeking new Committee members as we continue to grow and expand our activities to support, train, mentor, and create opportunities for scientists and clinicians, at early stages of their careers.
If you are an EASD member and passionate about supporting the next generation of diabetes researchers and clinicians, we warmly encourage you to apply. We are committed to maintaining a strong, vibrant, and inclusive organisation that makes a meaningful impact on early career researchers and clinicians in the field of diabetes. A diverse and dedicated Committee is essential to achieving this goal.
By joining our committee, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our ongoing activities, develop new initiatives, and help shape the future direction of the EASD Early Career Academy (ECA).
What we do
Since its launch in September 2022, the ECA has:
- Created dedicated sessions for early career researchers at the EASD Annual Meetings
- Developed a continuous learning platform featuring webinars led by senior experts
- Provided opportunities for early career researchers to chair sessions at the EASD Annual Meetings
- Launched a mentorship programme pairing early career scientists with leaders in the field of diabetes
- Brought together emerging investigators at annual meetings to learn from leading scientists, explore current topics, and network with peers
Commitment
Committee members are appointed for a 3-year term, starting in September 2026.
Members attend monthly remote meetings and are expected to actively contribute to the organisation and delivery of ECA activities, including webinars, an annual face-to-face meeting and the mentorship programme.
