Essential Information for Attendees
The 61st EASD Annual Meeting will take place as a hybrid event from 15 to 19 September 2025, providing the option to attend in person in Vienna, Austria or online via the Virtual Meeting platform.
All sessions in the scientific programme will take place onsite at the meeting venue in Vienna, Austria at the times indicated in the programme (All times shown are CEST - Central European Summer Time) and will be live-streamed for delegates attending the meeting virtually.
Recordings of all sessions will be available to all registered delegates, access to recordings will be limited to registered delegates until 17 October 2025.

Registration
All registrations prior to the EASD Annual Meeting dates have to be made by means of the secured online registration system. For more information, please check the detailed registration information.
During the EASD Annual Meeting dates, in person registrations can be made by the online registration system or at the onsite registration counter at the venue in Vienna, Austria.

Badges
The delegates’ name badges serve as an admission pass to all scientific sessions and the exhibition. Delegates are asked to keep their name badges displayed at all times during the meeting. Badges can be replaced and will be charged for.
Transportation
Registered delegates will receive a free Public Transportation Ticket (valid from Monday, 15 to Friday, 19 September 2025). The transportation ticket, printed on on your name badge, allows you to make unlimited journeys on the subway, commuter train, tram, and bus. Please be aware that special express lines (e g , the airport bus/train) are excluded and require a separate ticket. The travel ticket is valid only for the dates as shown on your badge and for travel within the Core Zone (previously known as Zone 100).
By metro, the venue can be reached using metro line U2 Get off a station ‘Messe-Prater’.
First Aid
First Aid is located in the Congress Centre after the Registration Area. Follow the signs with the white cross on a green background. In case of an emergency contact staff member.
Restaurants
Restaurants can be found on the main walkway between halls and on the 1st floor of the Congress Centre. A Food Court can be found in Hall B.
Cloakroom/Lost and Found Counter
The cloakroom is located in the basement of the Registration Hall (Foyer A). The lost and found is also located in the cloakroom
Suitcases, including cabin trolleys, are not allowed in the halls and must be left in the cloakroom.
Security
Any suspicious or unidentified items onsite at the meeting venue are to be reported immediately to the nearest staff member. Security staff are on duty to ensure that all persons entering the venue are wearing a badge. For your safety, it is strongly advised to leave all your valuables in a safe at your hotel.
Insurance
The registration fees do not include the insurance of participants against accidents, sickness, cancellation, theft, property loss or damage. Participants are advised to take out adequate insurance especially with regards to travel.
Speakers and Chairpersons
All speakers and chairpersons are expected to attend the EASD Annual Meeting in Vienna in person to participate live at the time indicated in the programme.

Speaker Centre
The Speaker Centre is located in the Congress Centre. All speakers are asked to check their presentations at the Speaker Centre at least three hours before the scheduled presentation time. If the presentation is scheduled in the morning, speakers are kindly asked to check their presentation at the Speaker Centre the day before.

Information for online attendance via Virtual Meeting platform
The Virtual Meeting platform is open and can be accessed directly or via the EASD website. You can follow all presentations live on the Virtual Meeting platform and access recordings on demand afterwards until 17 October 2025.
Please use the email and password from your registration for the EASD Annual Meeting (your MyEASD account credentials) to log in to the Virtual Meeting Platform.
Technical requirements
Delegates must ensure at their own expense that they meet the technical requirements necessary for following the EASD Annual Meeting virtually.
In addition to the necessary hardware, the following requirements will be needed:
- A stable internet connection with a minimum of 5 MBITs (data speed) to follow the online programme,
- A browser in an up-to-date version e g Chrome, Firefox or Safari
EASD recommends the participation via PC/Mac Computers and a resolution of Full HD 1920x1080 pixels or higher. Cookie and Pop-Up blocking measures may lead to problems. On smart phone/tablet devices only basic viewing features are being supported. It is recommended to use the Safari browser for Apple devices.
Please note: When using the Safari browser on Apple devices, you will need to enable pop-ups Pop-ups are disabled by default in the Safari browser. Please go to the settings of your Safari browser and enable pop-ups. For further instructions how to enable pop-ups, please see here. EASD is not responsible if delegates are unable to successfully access the Virtual Meeting platform if they do not fulfil the technical requirements.
