EASD Joint Sessions and Collaborations
EASD is committed to fostering global collaborations that advance diabetes research, education, innovation and clinical excellence. We welcome proposals from organisations and institutions worldwide that share our mission to improve care and outcomes for people living with diabetes.
For scientific collaborations, we actively collaborate on:
- Joint scientific sessions: Co-developed and co-delivered educational or scientific sessions at conferences, symposia or standalone events, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based content aligned with EASD scientific standards.
- In-person courses: Face-to-face educational programmes designed and delivered with expert faculty.
- Webinars: Virtual learning sessions featuring expert speakers, designed to disseminate the latest scientific insights and best practices to a global audience in an accessible format.
How the Collaboration Process works
1. Submit your proposal
Share your idea for collaboration by completing the information sheet form and sending it to info@easd.org.
EASD will acknowledge receipt and confirm that your proposal is under discussion, after which it will be evaluated by the EASD Training and Education Committee (TEC). This may take up to 3 weeks or more.
2. Agreement
If approved, we proceed with a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) or contract to be signed by both parties.
3. Expert coordination
Speakers and/or chairs are selected jointly, after which EASD will liaise directly with the invited EASD experts and connect them with the local collaborating hosts.
4. Event promotion
Collaborating partners provide event details and registration links for publication on the EASD website.
5. Post-event visibility
Partners share images, summaries or links for post-event coverage.
