Advances in Diabetes Technology: Innovations and Applications

The EASD Diabetes Technology School is a unique, in-person programme designed to advance the knowledge and skills of healthcare processionals in the rapidly evolving field of diabetes technology. This three-day course will bring together participants from around the world to explore current and emerging diabetes technologies in depth, with a focus on integrating innovations into clinical practice. 

About the Course

The EASD Diabetes Technology School offers a combination of lectures, hand-on sessions, and interactive discussions guided by a renowned faculty, including Julia Mader, Pratik Choudhary, Klemen Dovč, Pieter Gillard and Chantal Mathieu. Participants will:

  • Gain in-depth knowledge of current and emerging diabetes technologies.
  • Learn how to implement these technologies effectively in clinical practice.
  • Explore strategies for improving outcomes through personalised solutions.
  • Foster collaboration across healthcare specialities.
  • Discover future innovations in diabetes care.

Eligibility Criteria

This course is open to:

  • Endocrinologists, diabetes educators, primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.
  • HCPs who interact with diabetes technology in daily practice and would benefit from deeper insights.
  • Applicants should be members of EASD, who received their medical degree no more than 12 years before 1 January 2026.
  • Fluent English speakers able to attend all sessions in person.

Note: Ensure you have valid travel documents (passport and VISA) before applying.

How to Apply

The application must include the following:

  1. Curriculum Vitae with current professional address and email address, full details of education and academic and/or clinical career to date. 
  2. A one-page motivation letter describing your experience with diabetes technology and how  you think that the Course will help your clinical practice/research.
  3. A list of the type(s) of diabetes technology available in your country of practice. 

All information will be treated confidentially and reviewed by the Selection Committee, which will decide on participant selection.

Course Costs
  • Covered by EASD: Registration fee, accommodation, and most meals.
  • Not Covered by EASD: Travel expenses (to be arranged by participants).
