EASD Membership Categories

Membership is always valid from January to December

Standard Membership

For medical or academic degree holders working in diabetes or related diseases.

Postdoc / Fellow / Allied Health Professional* / Nurse Membership

For researchers with a doctorate and professionals or registered nurses working in diabetes or related diseases.

A confirmation letter from a head of department, supervisor or a member of EASD must be provided to support the application.
*The Allied Health Professional membership category applies only to professionals such as nurses, dietitians, occupational therapists, operating department practitioners, orthoptists, osteopaths, paramedics, physiotherapists, pharmacists, and similar roles.
Student Membership

For students working in diabetes or related diseases not yet holding a title or academic degree.

A confirmation letter from a head of department, supervisor or a member of EASD must be provided to support the application.

Emeritus Membership

For retired medical or academic degree holders who worked in diabetes or related diseases.

To apply for an Emeritus Membership one must be at least 65 years of age and retired. Please contact the Membership Department for further information.
