Minkowski Prize

Prize awarded for research contributing to the advancement of knowledge concerning diabetes mellitus.

The Minkowski Prize will be given in relation to research which has been carried out by a person normally residing in Europe. It is awarded for distinction manifested by publications which contribute to the advancement of knowledge concerning diabetes mellitus. The candidate must be less than 45 years of age on 1 January in the year of the nomination. The Minkowski Prize has been generously spnsored by Sanofi since 1966.

The recipient is expected to give a lecture at the Annual Meeting in the year of the award describing his/her most important scientific achievements.

Nominations or re-nominations should be made on the nomination form and sent as one complete pdf via email. It should consist of the following:

  • the most relevant publications (not more than ten)
  • a statement in English by the proposer(s) explaining the manner in which the candidate's published contributions have aided knowledge concerning diabetes mellitus. Such a statement should not exceed 1,000 words.
  • the candidate's curriculum vitae including a complete bibliography
