Prof. Helene Hanaire
Professor Helene Hanaire is an endocrinologist and head of the Department of Diabetology, Metabolic Diseases and Nutrition of the University Hospital of Toulouse, France. In addition, she is head of the Department of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Diseases and has been in charge of the Department of Clinical Research and Innovation of the University Hospital of Toulouse.
She is a member of several scientific societies, including EVADIAC (Evaluation dans le Diabète du Traitement par Implants Actifs), French Endocrinology Society, French Speaking Diabetes Society (SFD), American Diabetes Association (ADA) and the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD). She is Past-President of the French-Speaking Diabetes Society (SFD), and President of the French-Speaking Foundation for Research in Diabetes (FFRD).
Professor Hanaire’s area of research and publication focuses on insulin analogs, external and implantable insulin infusion pumps, continuous glucose monitoring, intensified insulin therapy in type 1 and type 2 diabetes, artificial pancreas, patient education and mobile-health.
