Prof. Dorota Zozulińska-Ziółkiewicz

Prof. Dorota Zozulińska-Ziółkiewicz is a specialist in internal medicine and diabetology. Currently, she is the head of the Department of Internal Medicine and Diabetology at the Poznan University of Medical Sciences (PUMS) and the Department of Diabetology and Internal Diseases of the Raszeja Hospital in Poznań, Poland. Member of the PUMS Senate in the 2017-2020 and 2020-2024 terms. Vice-Rector for Organization, Promotion, and University Development in 2020-2024. Specialist in internal medicine and diabetology. Since 2011, a member of the Main Board of Diabetes Poland, in the years 2016-2019, the chairwoman of the Diabetes Poland Clinical Recommendations Team, and president of Diabetes Poland from 2019 to 2023.

Research internships: 1992 Institute of Pharmacy, Freie Universität, Berlin, 2000 the University of Udine, 2002 Diabetes Trial Unit in Oxford. Since 1994, she has been a member of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (since 2022, she has been a member of the EASD Committee on Clinical Affairs).

Scientific interests include the etiopathogenesis of diabetes and the mechanism of chronic complications, insulin therapy with new technologies, and the theme: of diabetes and sports. She has published more than 200 original articles, 60 reviews, and book chapters.

The promoter of physical activity, co-organizer of the 1st Polish Football Championships for Children and Youth, and four editions of the Polish Championships of MTB Cyclists with Diabetes. She practices mountain biking in the MedBike team.
