EASD Robert Turner Course 2019

The next Robert Turner Course will take place 1 - 5 April 2019 in Oxford, UK. It is intended to allow young physicians to become familiar with major theoretical and practical aspects of clinical research and will consist of lectures as well as interactive sessions. Application deadline is 31 October 2018. more

EASD Membership application/renewal is now closed and will open again mid-October 2018.

The European Foundation for the Study of Diabetes (EFSD) was created by EASD to provide funding in all areas of diabetes research across the entire European Region. The aims of EFSD are to encourage and support groundbreaking diabetes research and to promote the next generation of leading diabetes researchers. more

Diabetologia is the Journal of the EASD and publishes original clinical, translational and experimental research within the field of diabetes. We are interested in papers that convey new information or insight into any aspect of the condition, ranging from basic science to clinical applications. more

New EASD Study Group - European Group for the Study of Insulin Resistance (EGIR)

EASD is pleased to announce that the EASD Executive Committee has recently endorsed a proposal to approve the European Group for the Study of Insulin Resistance (EGIR) as a Study Group of EASD.



New EASD Study Group on Health Services Research and Health Economics

The Study Group can be officially established during the 54th EASD Annual Meeting in Berlin in October 2018. An outline of the planned activities and an invitation to join the group and their symposia during EASD 2018 can be found here. 



Job opportunity for clinician-scientists at IDIBAPS

The Institut d’Investigacions Biomèdiques August Pi i Sunyer (IDIBAPS) in Barcelona, Spain has launched BITRECS “Biomedicine international training research programme for excellent clinician-scientists”.
